Our Programs

Three-Year Old Program

Tuesday and Thursday - $240 (2015-2016) per month (plus one-time registration fee of $75).  Morning class is from 9:00 to 11:30 and afternoon class is from 12:30 to 3:00.

Four-Year Old Program

Monday, Wednesday and Friday - $275 (2015-2016) per month (plus one-time registration fee of $75).  Morning class is from 9:00 to 11:30 and afternoon class is from 12:30 to 3:00.

Our Teachers

Our teachers strive to encourage and support the children to be active, cooperative participants in the classroom, to try new things, develop independence and to feel positive and successful in their learning experiences.


Miss Gail

Miss Gail has been our teacher for the 4 year old morning class since 2006.  She has always known that she wanted to be a teacher. She has a degree in French from UBC along with a teaching degree in French Immersion. Gail has 3 daughters whom she coaches in a competitive soccer league and a dog who joins her for a run in rain or shine. She has a passion for cooking, watching French movies and reading. Miss Gail is known for her creativity, love of life and nurturing spirit. 

Miss Shawna

Miss Shawna is pleased to be teaching the 3-year old program. She received dual Bachelor degrees in Science and Education from the University of Lethbridge. Miss Shauna is the mother of two amazing kids. In her spare time she loves to travel with her family wherever their truck and trailer take them.

Miss Lindsay

Miss Lindsay had been with us as an assistant for two years. She previously worked with BTLC as an Educational Assistant to a child in Miss Gail's classroom, which is how she came to know our preschool. Miss Lindsay is an active rugby player and is a also a dog lover. Her dog Marlee is a big part of her life, as well as her husband Vinny. 

Miss Jodi

Jodi has been working with the preschool since January, 2009 in the capacity of Administrator and Teaching Assistant.  Jodi is a graduate from the University of Calgary and has been working with children for over 20 years.  Jodi has a passion for child care and early education and is a great resource for information and experience.  Jodi enjoys working with Scarboro Preschool, especially the children.  In her free time, Jodi enjoys, camping, skiing, and shopping. 

Miss Andrea

Scarboro Preschool is fortunate to have a unique music curriculum for the 4-year-olds. After achieving her Grade 10 RCM in Voice, Miss Andrea graduated with honors as a Performance Major from the Berkley-affiliated Selkirk College Music Program, winning an award of excellence for Composition.She is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, recording artist and performer. She has certification as a Teacher's Assistant and vast experience in the classroom. Andrea has worked with Therapy teams throughout the Public and Private School Systems to create unique, individualized, curriculum rich music programs that are engaging and inclusive to all students.  Andrea has been teaching music at the preschool since 2003 and it is her voice you hear singing the Sunalta School Song!
